We've had first major moment of controversy in MLS this Sunday, as Sporting Kansas City defender Joaquín somehow avoided a red-card for a dangerous looking challenge on Portland Timbers winger Antony.

The two sides traded goals in a thoroughly entertaining, four-goal first-half, but the headlines were grabbed by Joaquín's challenge on Antony in the dying minutes of the opening interval.

The challenge was subject to a long VAR check, but the Spaniard was only shown yellow, much to the chagrin of the Portland players and staff.
