Sheffield United’s teenage duo Charley Docherty and Tamara Wilcock have signed dual-registration terms with FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Nottingham Forest according to reports on The Blades’ official club website.

The youngsters have been in and around the Sheffield United first team squad this season but they will benefit from more regular senior football in the third tier with Nottingham Forest.

Midfielder Wilcock has made three substitute appearances in all competitions for Sheffield United this season. The player made her debut for The Blades in a 3-0 FA Women’s Championship victory over Crystal Palace at Hayes Lane in April. Forward Docherty has made the same number of appearances from the bench this season after making her senior debut in a 2-1 FA Women’s Championship defeat at Leicester City last term.

Docherty and Wilcock join a Nottingham Forest side who currently occupy a mid-table position in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division. The Tricky Trees are eight points adrift of the league summit, however, they still have almost half of the season remaining and have games in hand on most of the sides above them.

Nottingham Forest face top tier side Manchester City in their next match in the fourth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Saturday.
