The young attacker is attracting plenty of attention on deadline day.
Sheffield United have rejected loan bids from the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Huddersfield Town, Rotherham United, Stockport County and Wrexham for young attacker Louie Marsh.
That's according to a report from The Daily Mail's Deadline Day transfer blog (30/08, 08:25), which claims that the Blades are looking to retain the services of the 20-year-old.
Marsh came through the youth ranks at Sheffield United, and is yet to make his league debut for the club.
He did, however, make eight appearances and score once for League Two side Doncaster Rovers while on loan there last season.
The attacker has also featured three times in the Carabao Cup for the Blades, scoring his first goal for the club in their 4-2 win over Wrexham earlier this month.
Now it seems as though Sheffield United are keen to keep Marsh at Bramall Lane for the time being, despite interest in his services from elsewhere.
As per this latest update, a number of clubs across the EFL have shown an interest in signing the attacker on a temporary basis in the final hours of the window.
It is thought that Sheffield United's Championship rivals Plymouth are among those keen on the 20-year-old.
A League One quartet of Huddersfield, Rotherham - who were relegated from the Championship last season - Stockport and Wrexham - who were promoted from League Two - are also credited with an interest in the forward.
However, it is claimed that the Blades are standing firm with their intention to keep Marsh, and have rejected loan enquiries for Marsh from those five sides.
As things stand, there are still two years remaining on the forward's contract with Sheffield United, securing his future at Bramall Lane until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Despite starting the season with a two point deduction, Chris Wilder's side currently sit tenth in the Championship table, while Plymouth are 21st in the early standings.
Stockport and Huddersfield currently occupy the top two spots in the League One table, with Wrexham close behind in fourth. Rotherham, meanwhile, are 21st, after a more challenging start to the campaign.
There is an argument to be made that allowing Marsh to head out on loan would not be the worst thing for Sheffield United to do on deadline day.
At 20-years-old, Marsh is at an age where many players are starting to experience regular first-team football.
However, it may be tough for him to do that at Bramall Lane this season, with Kieffer Moore, Tyrese Campbell and Rhian Brewster all more established centre-forward options for Wilder.
With that in mind, it may be the case that Marsh could benefit from a loan move to one of those interested clubs, if it gives him more opportunities to play.
Indeed, it does not appear as though the Blades would be lacking in depth if they were to sanction such a deal.
As a result, it will be interesting to see if Sheffield United do maintain this stance until beyond the deadline, and what that will mean for the player himself if that is the case.
