Sheffield United have completed the signing of New Zealand youth international defender Olivia Page from Eastern Suburbs AFC.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blades this afternoon.

Page has represented the New Zealand national team at various youth levels and has the potential to be a full international in the coming years. The 18-year-old made three substitute appearances for New Zealand at the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup last year. She played against some strong opposition in that tournament in the form of third-placed Nigeria and the fourth-placed side, Germany.

At club level, the defender has been playing her football in the New Zealand Women’s National League with Eastern Suburbs AFC. She was a Grand Final winner with the club in 2022 and played the full 90 minutes of that match.

After completing her move to Sheffield United, Page said “I’m stoked. I’ve been really enjoying pre-season, the team has been really good in helping me settle in and yeah, I’m really enjoying it.

“I’ve been in New Zealand my whole life. I’ve got family in England and I just wanted to take my career to the next step. United is a really great football team, the growth they’re having is amazing and they play a style I really like.”

Page becomes Sheffield United manager Jonathan Morgan’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
