Sheffield United want to land Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on a loan deal, but the player’s destination desire may see Luton Town and QPR hold the advantage, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Blades boss Chris Wilder has just added combative midfielder Jamie Shackleton to his squad, with the player snubbing a new contract offer at Leeds United to join.
Wilder wants to follow it up with the loan capture of Rak-Sakyi, who has no fewer than four Championship sides battling for him.
Blackburn Rovers are interested in taking the winger to Ewood Park, while Luton Town and QPR are putting in strong pushes.
Sheffield United may find that Rak-Sakyi proves to be beyond them as it is suggested he could want to stay in the London area.
That would put Luton and QPR in pole position to snaffle him up.
Rak-Sakyi has experience of League One level, gained during a loan spell at Charlton Athletic, and Palace may want to see how he handles a full season of the Championship.
The winger missed most of last season through injury, but did feature in Premier League games against Arsenal, Aston Villa, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
