Centre-back Hartley is the most notable departure with the player having featured in 19 of the club’s 22 fixtures in the Barclays Women’s Championship this season. She will continue to receive medical support from the club for an ongoing injury. Full-back Riglar made 17 appearances for The Blades while forward Walters was handed 16 league outings in a red and white striped shirt. Defender Ellie Wilson was a regular in the team before picking up a wrist injury.

Youngster Francis-Jones played a bit part role for The Blades while goalkeeper Nina Wilson spent the back end of the season out on loan at third tier club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Sheffield United will very much be looking to the future after flourishing under the guidance of new manager Jonathan Morgan towards the end of the season. Should Morgan receive financial backing in the transfer market, the South Yorkshire club could be a surprise package in 2023/2024.
