Real Madrid’s win over Liverpool in Paris marked the end of their stay in the Spanish capital for several Los Blancos players. While some like Marcelo, departed due to age-related factors, other younger faces like Isco said their goodbyes on the same day.

With his chapter at Real Madrid officially having come to an end, Isco has three options on the table, according to reports from Diario AS.

The first option is to continue his career in La Liga, which is also said to be the player’s priority. Julen Lopetegui has worked with the midfielder in the past and is said to have personally requested Sevilla’s board to sign him.

The other Spanish option on the table is Valencia. Los Che are set to appoint Gennaro Gattuso as their manager soon, and he is apparently spearheading this demand for Isco.

Isco’s third option is to make the move to Italy. AS Roma are reportedly looking for a ‘big name signing’ after winning the UEFA Conference League and have been in constant contact with the Spanish international.

Moreover, AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho shares the same representative as Isco, Jorge Mendes. The super-agent is also said to be burning the midnight oil to make the move possible.

The 30-year-old started only three league games for Los Blancos in 2021-22 and scored one goal. He averaged 0.7 key passes per game and created three big chances. Speaking after Real Madrid’s UCL win, Isco said,

“Apart from fulfilling dreams, winning more titles than I had ever imagined, playing with the greatest players, meeting incredible people – I have had the best time. See you always and Hala Madrid.”

His departure has been officially announced by the club, and the player is now a free agent. That said, Roma are expected to push hard to make his arrival possible with the lowest possible investment.
