Sevilla have confirmed the departure of manager Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday evening.
The news comes after the club’s 4-1 loss against Borussia Dortmund at home in the Champions League.
Sevilla have also struggled as of late in LaLiga and currently sit 17th in the table, one point above relegation, with one win, two draws and four losses ultimately leading to the club’s decision.
Lopeteugi’s career however may not be over just yet with the 56-year-old named as the favourite candidate to take over Wolves in the Premier League following Bruno Lage’s departure.
