La Liga outfit Sevilla’s hopes of marking their post-international break return to action with a victory have today been afforded a boost.

This comes by way of confirmation that a key member of the club’s defensive ranks has rejoined group training.

The player in question? Loïc Badé.

Stopper Badé, for his part, was forced to sit out Sevilla’s final outing before the international break, owing to a calf injury.

And his absence was sorely felt by Quique’s troops, en route to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo.

The 23-year-old had spent the weeks since recovering in Andalusia, with his push towards a return to the pitch having taken a step up over recent days.

After it was on Tuesday revealed that Badé’s readiness to link up with the rest of Quique’s squad in full training would be assessed based on the results of a fresh round of medical tests this morning, as much, evidently, gave rise to altogether positive results.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the Frenchman was indeed back amongst the Nervionenses group put through their paces on Wednesday morning, expected to be available to feature from the off against Getafe on Saturday afternoon as a result.
