Sevilla dealt concerning injury blow during Real Betis clash | OneFootball

Sevilla have on Sunday been dealt an altogether concerning blow on the personnel front.

As much came during the opening exchanges of the club’s derby showdown with Real Betis.

Quique’s troops are currently locked in action at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, in a meeting with arch rivals Betis.

Early in the 2nd-half, the Nervionenses find themselves in desperate search of an equaliser, after Isco put Manuel Pellegrini’s hosts in front from the penalty spot shortly before the interval.

As alluded to above, though, the current scoreline is far from the only concern for Sevilla at the Benito Villamarín.

This comes with Quique and co. having also been forced to face up to a major blow on the injury front, Isaac Romero forced into a premature departure from proceedings with just a quarter of an hour on the clock.

After pulling up with what appeared to be a muscular problem, frontman Isaac was ultimately stretchered from the field of play, in evident distress.

The 23-year-old was later spotted amongst his teammates on the Sevilla bench, but with his right thigh heavily strapped with ice.
