The two young African talents from Brest's youth academy have signed their first professional contracts.

Senegalese forward Serigne Saliou Diop and French-Malian striker Ibrahim Kanté have officially signed their first professional contracts with Brest this Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The two attackers have committed to the Finistère club until 2028 and 2026, respectively.
Trained at the Challenge Football Center academy in Senegal, Serigne Saliou Diop arrives from Dakar to take the next step in his promising career. The native of Ndiobéne Mbatar becomes the first talent from this Senegalese academy to sign with Brest. He made his professional debut in Red & White during the home match against Reims on March 16. Diop's contract runs for one season, and he will wear the number 29 shirt for the upcoming campaign.
As for Ibrahim Kanté, he is a true product of Brest's youth academy and has now earned his first professional deal. He has signed through 2028 and will sport the number 21 this season.
