Serie A is now set to sign a new deal with DAZN and Sky and it will be worth €900 million.

The Italian top flight’s broadcast was previously with the two giants and it will be stay that way. La Repubblica state that the current formula of broadcast will be extended and it will be applicable from 2024 to the year 2029 in what will be a five-year deal. Financially, it is a bit of a downgrade since the current deal is worth around €927 million per year.

Every weekend for the next 5 years, subscribers will see all 10 matches of each round of Serie A on DAZN, while Sky subscribers will be able to continue to see 3 matches for each round, even if they will have the second pick 30 times out of 38 game days.

It is stated that the orientation of Juventus, Milan and Inter proved key in making sure that Sky and DAZN won the bid yesterday. Aurelio de Laurentiis was someone who was against the bid. The clubs will be partners in revenue sharing and they will earn a certain percentage from streaming subscriptions.
