Chelsea are reported to have received an offer from Torino for midfielder Cesare Casadei.
Casadei, 21, joined Chelsea from Inter in the summer of 2022 for an initial £12.6m, with a further £4.2m in add-ons, but has yet to make his mark on the Blues after a series of mixed loan spells with Reading and Leicester City.
Having managed just six cup appearances this season under Enzo Maresca, Casadei is expected to find a new club this winter, with both loan and permanent options ready to be explored.
Gianluca Di Marzio states Torino have made the first move in pursuit of Casadei. There is no mention of a fee, but the proposed deal is believed to be permanent.
Sweetening the deal for Chelsea is Torino's willingness to include a buy-back clause. It is compared to Como's purchase of Nico Paz, who was signed from Real Madrid for €6m during the summer but could return to the Bernabeu for €9m at the end of the season.
Lazio are also interested in Casadei but are yet to make any offer to Chelsea.
Casadei is one of a handful of players who could be moved on in the winter window, with left-back Ben Chilwell and fellow midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka also on the fringes of Maresca's first team.
Chukwuemeka is available for both permanent and loan deals, although the Blues will demand his full £40m release clause to sell this month.
