The Serie A title race took another unexpected turn over the weekend, as both Inter and Napoli were held to draws, by Parma and Bologna respectively. Now only seven games remain before the Scudetto for 2024-25 is awarded. Here is a look at the run-in for the two title contenders.
With 31 of 28 matches played in 2024-25, Inter remain on top of the Serie A standings on 68 points overall, three clear of Antonio Conte and Napoli. While Atalanta had been in the title race at the beginning of the calendar year, they are now 10 points off the lead after three consecutive league losses.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have Serie A fixtures against Cagliari, Bologna, Roma, Verona, Torino, Lazio and Como remaining before the end of the current campaign.
For the Partenopei, the remaining fixture list reads: Empoli, Monza, Torino, Lecce, Genoa, Parma and Cagliari.
Inter have beaten six of the seven teams they must face already this season, and with a 2-2 draw against Bologna back in January, have an unbeaten record against those teams in 2024-25.
Napoli can go one better, though, as they have beaten all seven of the teams they still have to face in 2024-25 already.
Corriere dello Sport argues that Napoli and Conte have the slight advantage in terms of their remaining fixtures, partly due to the marginally ‘easier’ run, and also because of the fact that they do not have the Champions League or Coppa Italia to consider.
