Emil Audero could reportedly join Como as his experience with Inter Milan is reportedly drawing to a close.

The Italian goalkeeper spent the campaign on loan at San Siro, serving as a backup for Yann Sommer.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInter1908, Audero will return to his parent club Sampdoria at the end of the season.

That is because the Nerazzurri aren’t willing to spend 7 million euros to keep his services on a permanent basis.

Inter could be looking to replace the 27-year-old with the younger and more promising Bento. The 24-year-old Brazilian has emerged as a primary candidate to join the Nerazzurri and eventually take the torch from Sommer.

Nevertheless, the source still tips Audero to play his football in Serie A next term.

The Roman newspaper reveals that the former Juventus man was spotted in Como with the company of his family, thus solidifying rumors linking him with the newly-promoted Serie A club.

Moreover, the source notes that Audero is of Indonesian heritage, just like the Hartono brothers who own Como.

Therefore, the goalkeeper could find himself playing in Cesc Fabregas’s team next season. Como would thus have to find an agreement with Sampdoria over the transfer.

In any case, the Blucerchiati are unlikely to maintain the shot-stopper’s services since they will play in Serie B for another year after failing to secure promotion under the guidance of Andrea Pirlo.

This season, Audero made six appearances for Inter across all competitions. He managed to register a couple of clean sheets while conceding eight goals in total.
