Milan stars Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao are expected to go on the bench against Cagliari, while Samuel Chukwueze will start with Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud in attack.

It kicks off at 20:45 CET at the Stadio Meazza in Milan.

The Rossoneri have already secured a Champions League place but want to finish second, while Cagliari still need points in the race for survival.

Mike Maignan, Simon Kjaer, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonio Mirante are not available for the Rossoneri who won’t rely on their ultras’ support given that the die-hard fans in Curva Sud will once again remain silent.

Pioli is expected to leave some of his stars on the bench, especially Theo, Leao and even Fikayo Tomori.

Cagliari are without the suspended Gianluca Gaetano and Tommaso Augello plus the injured Jakub Jankto and Antoine Makoumbou.

It is still unclear whether Claudio Ranieri will use a three- or four-man defence, but both systems can be used with the likes of Yerry Mina, Adam Obert, and Alberto Dossena in the starting XI.

Eldor Shomurodov appears to be the favourite in attack over Gianluca Lapadula, while Inter loanee Gaetano Oristanio is expected to feature in the Sardinians XI as an attacking midfielder.
