Season opener on a Saturday evening at 18:30 | OneFootball

Fourteen days after the publication of the 2022/23 Bundesliga fixture list, the DFL have precisely scheduled the dates and times of the opening seven rounds. Borussia Dortmund will start their campaign at home to Bayer Leverkusen on 6 August.

BVB's first match of the 60th Bundesliga season is also the "top match" of the opening round and will therefore kick off at 18:30 (all times CET) on the first Saturday in August. The first seven matchdays will also see BVB involved in two Friday evening floodlight matches – in Freiburg on Matchday 2 and at home to Hoffenheim on Matchday 5.

The 159th Ruhr derby against promoted club Schalke 04 will take place at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in the classic Bundesliga kick-off slot of 15:30 CET on Saturday 17 September.

The DFL will announce the next batch of fixture dates and times in calendar week 35, at the beginning of September.
