Manchester United have announced the sale of Scott McTominay to Napoli after a 22-year association together.
The Scotland international joined the club at the age of five and due to his homegrown status, the £25.4m received from his sale is classed as pure profit in PSR terms – freeing up funds for a potential Manuel Ugarte transfer.
After passing a medical on Tuesday, McTominay signed a five-year deal at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Earlier this summer, Fulham had two bids rejected for the 27-year-old’s services.
He leaves Old Trafford after making 255 appearances over the last eight years, scoring 29 goals and winning two trophies.
