Germany stormed back in the second half to blow away a Scotland lead and win the UEFA Women’s Nations League match in Wolfsburg 6-1.
After falling behind in the first minute of Friday’s 4-0 home defeat to Germany, it was Scotland who nearly scored in the opening seconds of the return match as Ann-Katrin Berger palmed away a curling effort from Caroline Weir.
Lauren Davidson got in on the right hand side of the box but was unable to beat the keeper but five minutes before the break, Scotland took the lead.
Claire Emslie played in Kirsty Hobson, whose shot was parried by Berger but her defenders failed to deal with the loose ball and Weir got in to prod the ball home.

Germany were level five minutes after the interval, Seline Cerci heading home from a Giulia Gwinn corner shortly after Giovanna Hoffman had hit the post.
Another five minutes and another goal for the hosts, Hoffman this time heading against the crossbar and Cerci following up.
Hoffman finally got her goal, then swiftly doubled her tally past Lee Gibson, Laura Freigang making if 5-1 with a clever backheel as Scotland were made to suffer.
Cerci completed her hat-trick in style when whipping the ball home on the turn.
