Scotland stars Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour trained with Napoli for the first time on Tuesday and are expected to make their first appearance for the Partenopei against Cagliari this weekend.
Scotland midfielders McTominay and Gilmour trained for Napoli for the first time on Tuesday after returning from international duty on a private jet on Monday night.
La Gazzetta dello Sport on page 12 and Il Corriere dello Sport report that both players are expected to be involved in the next Serie A game against Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena on Sunday, September 15.
It is still unclear whether the former Manchester United and Brighton midfielders will start against the Rossoblu, but the Italian newspapers are confident they’ll both be involved in Sardinia.
McTominay scored two goals in Scotland’s last two games, playing the full 90 minutes against Poland and Portugal, while Gilmour was subbed off at minute 82 against Poland and played for the whole match against Portugal.
