Napoli coach Antonio Conte confirms Scott McTominay is available for a Serie A game against Roma despite picking up a minor injury in his latest appearance with the Scotland national team.

McTominay was replaced after 76 minutes in Scotland’s 2-1 win over Poland earlier this week.

Napoli doctors assessed him and ruled out an injury, so the ex-Manchester United midfielder will start against Roma on Sunday.

“Lukaku and McTominay have trained, and there is no problem,” Conte said at a press conference, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.

“Olivera trained yesterday and today, and we have to do the last few assessments tomorrow. We’ll evaluate those who returned with minor issues, but there are still 48 hours to eliminate fatigue.”

Conte was pleased that Roma appointed Claudio Ranieri but insisted that his players not “risk their lives” against the Giallorossi.
