Glasgow City have a 100% record going into the international break, as Hearts suffered a fifth defeat in a row. Rachel McLauchlan scored after only 3 minutes but it was a minute into the second-half before substitute Aoife Colvill doubled the lead. Tyler Toland, Lisa Robertson and Mairead Fulton later added one each.

Rangers’ 3-1 win at Forfar put them level on points with rivals Celtic in second. Brogan Hay’s cross was turned into her own net by Forfar’s Jade Lindsay and Lizzie Arnott made it 2-0 but only on the follow-up from her penalty being saved  by Fiona McNicholl. Donna Paterson halved the deficit before the break and the hosts remained in the game until Clare Gemmell sealed the points in the 90th minute.

Spartans are just a goal short of Hibernian in fourth, having taken the points 2-0 at Motherwell. Kat Smart’s deflected effort gave Spartans a 13th-minute advantage, then just after the hour mark Sarah Clelland’s cross was netted by Louise Mason.

Jags jolt Dons

Partick Thistle jumped to second in SWPL 2 when becoming the first side to take points of Aberdeen with a stunning 5-1 score line, having trailed minutes before the interval. Jade Gallon cancelled out Eilidh Shore’s goal, Clare Docherty and Sophie Gallacher both scoring in a fourth-minute spell after the restart, while Cheryl Rigden was later also among the goals.

Stirling University got off the mark with a good 3-3 tie against Queen’s Park but nearly took all three points but for a late leveller. Lindsay Blues and Shana MacPhail had them two up, only for Helen McLeod and Chloe Docherty to pull the Spiders level. MacPhail restored the lead but McLeod equalised a minute from full time.

Dundee United defeated Hamilton Academical 2-1 to leapfrog them in the table. Robyn Smith and then a Stina Kleppe goal on half-time saw them two goals to the good, Lauren Evans pulling one back for the Accies.

Kilmarnock gained ground on Glasgow Women when edging them 1-0. Gillian Sloey played the ball through the defence for Kirsty Munro to round the keeper and finish after 10 minutes.

Boroughmuir Thistle did likewise with St Johnstone, whom they beat 3-2 after falling behind to a Rachel Todd strike. Rachel Duncan bagged a brace and Thistle got s third in off the keeper from a corner, before Nicole Carter scored the visitors’ second.
