Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli are lining up a staggering €100 million contract offer for Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez.
The 32 year-old, who signed a new contract with Manchester City until 2025 last year, is the latest European footballing star to be subject to transfer interest from Saudi Arabia.

Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema recently followed in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo in moving to the Saudi Pro League, with the league also looking to secure the signatures of N’Golo Kanté and even Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan.
Lionel Messi recently turned down a €400 million move to the Middle East and instead agreed a deal with MLS side Inter Miami.
Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez is however claimed to be ‘open’ to moving to the Saudi Pro League, with the Algerian having spent five years at the Etihad Stadium after completing a £60 million move from Leicester City.
Mahrez has made 236 appearances for Manchester City and won 10 trophies with the Sky Blues to date.
The Algerian will be hoping to add a Champions League winners medal to his collection this weekend, when City face Inter Milan in the 2023 Champions League Final in Istanbul.
This weekend’s match could end up being Mahrez’s final match for Manchester City, as interest continues to grow in the winger from Al Ahli, ahead of the summer transfer window.
ESPN report that Mahrez has been offered a two-year contract worth €50 million plus bonuses a season from Al Ahli, with the option for a third-year at the club.
Mahrez was one of several players discussed in talks in London with a delegation from Saudi Arabia this week, with Al Ahli club President Waleed Muaath present at discussions.
James Olley further reports that despite an openness from Mahrez to move to the Pro League, that it remains ‘unclear’ whether Manchester City would sanction a move for the Algerian, who has two-years remaining on his current contract.
Etihad chiefs would also likely demand a fee for Mahrez, with it unknown what amount of money Manchester City would want to green light a transfer.
Mahrez, who has made 36 starts for Manchester City this season, has reportedly become frustrated by a lack of playing time over the course of the campaign.
