Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali On Inter Targets Raspadori & Scamacca: “Let’s Let January Arrive & Then We Will Evaluate” | OneFootball

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has suggested there will be no movement in Inter’s pursuits to sign Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca until January, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with football finance experts Calcio e Finanza, Giovanni Carenevali said that the pandemic has made transfer negotiations much harder than they used to be and cited the sale of Manuel Locatelli to Juventus in the summer that has just gone.

“Let’s let January arrive and then we will evaluate. What I can say is that for the pandemic the operations are much more difficult than in the past.

“Juventus would have finished the negotiations for Locatelli in a much faster way in normal times, but in the summer we had to do a great job.”

Inter has been repeatedly linked with the two young Italian strikers at Sassuolo as the Nerazzurri are seeking to bolster their attacking options whilst also lowering the age of the squad considerably.

Giovanni Carnevali was also asked about the Super League plans that emerged in the spring that were part-implemented by Juventus, Inter, and AC Milan. The CEO did not hold back when he said that he felt betrayed by the three clubs in question.

“I tell you frankly that I did not know anything about it. That day I felt betrayed by Inter, Milan and Juventus. You cannot be in the league and treat the problems as if we were a single entity, and then conceal brigade to create an exclusive league for super clubs.”
