Jadon Sancho has been left ‘less than thrilled’ with Ralf Rangnick’s comments regarding the winger’s struggles at Manchester United this season.

Sancho has failed to produce during a disappointing debut campaign with the Red Devils, with the 21-year-old having struggled to live up to the excitement that greeted his £72.9m arrival from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

The England international has scored just once and yet to provide a single assist in the Premier League this season and Ragnick was recently asked for his view on Sancho’s struggle for form.

Rangnick suggested that Sancho’s form was down to the mental difficulty in adapting to the change in expectations at United, a public revelation that has not gone down well with the winger.

The Times are reporting that Sancho has been left ‘less than impressed’ with Rangnick’s comments regarding the player’s problems, despite the German’s insistence that the summer signing can become a key figure at Old Trafford.

Sancho’s first season has seen him fail to command an automatic role in the side, whilst the Red Devils have struggled for consistency and sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer- the man who signed Sancho last summer – in November.

He was named on the bench for the draw with Aston Villa last weekend as teenager Anthony Elanga was selected in the starting side, before missing the midweek win at Brentford to attend a family funeral.

Sancho has failed to replicate the performances that made him one of Europe’s most sought-after talents at Dortmund, providing 114 goal involvements in 137 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
