Samuel Eto’o is not a player who lacks in confidence.
That much was evident throughout a glittering playing career (which isn’t finished yet) at the top level.
In 2009, it took him to Inter along with €46m in a deal which saw Zlatan Ibrahimović move in the other direction.
During two seasons at the San Siro, the Cameroonian won every domestic honour as well as the Champions League and Club World Cup in 2010.
As a result, he believes the Nerazzurri got themselves a bargain.
“It is clear today that the move and the opportunity Pep [Guardiola] gave me has gone down in history,” he told beIN Sports.
“It allowed me to be an even bigger part of football history by joining Inter.
“That also allowed Inter to strike the best deal in football history.”
Across all competitions in his two years in Italy, the current Qatar SC man scored 53 goals and provided 25 assists.
