Salernitana continue to work on transfer of Federico Fazio
RomaPress
Federico Fazio is reportedly once again – after already having been linked with them – nearing a switch to Salernitana. The 34-year-old spent the past six months training individually as he was excluded by Jose Mourinho earlier in the summer.
Salernitana’s new sporting director Walter Sabatini – who brought Fazio to Roma as a last-minute deal in the summer of 2016 – wants to sign the veteran defender until the end of the season.
According to calciomercato.it, Salernitana have intensified talks with Fazio and the club to secure his signing before the end of the January window.
Sabatini is now awaiting the green light from the player himself who up until now was determined to remain in the capital until the expiration of his contract in June.
