Roma will not be extending Rui Patricio’s contract.
The veteran goalkeeper – who joined the club in 2022 as the first signing of the Jose Mourinho era – will not remain at Roma as he approaches free agency.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Patricio will depart the club as a free agent despite recent rumors claiming Roma were willing to reconsider his position as second-choice shot-stopper behind the up-and-coming Mile Svilar.
However, Roma will do no such thing and the two sides will inevitably part ways in the coming weeks.
