The German defender has rejected Chelsea's latest contract offer, with his current deal set to expire in 2022.

The Blues put forward a deal worth £140,000-a-week, according to The Telegraph, which is a £40,000 increase on his current salary.

But Rudiger wants at least double that amount and knows he could get it by signing elsewhere as a free agent.

The 28-year-old is also aware that a number of his Chelsea teammates are already earning over £200,000-a-week, including Romelu Lukaku, N'Golo Kante and Timo Werner.

PSG, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have all been linked with Rudiger.
