South African attacking midfielder Rowan Human has returned to Europe as he signed for Albanian side FK Partizani on a free transfer after parting ways with Betway Premiership club AmaZulu at the end of last season.
The 24-year-old playmaker left Usuthu in a move that was unexpected following his exploits in the 2024/25 campaign, where he chipped in with three goals and five assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
Human couldn’t agree to the new personal terms presented by the KZN outfit, prompting local clubs and suitors from abroad to start circling. The player had a spell in Israel before the now-defunct Bidvest Wits lured him back to his native country.
Prior to securing another move abroad, the versatile player was reportedly offered to Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, while newly promoted Durban City, coached by Gavin Hunt, who signed him at Wits, were said to be interested in his services as well.
However, it was the Kategoria Superiore side that beat a host on interested suitors to Human’s signature. The attacker signed a two-year deal with the Tirana-based outfit, who finished in fourth place in the Albanian topflight last season.
The 2025/26 Albanian league is set to commence on 23 August, where Human will be relishing to make his debut and command a regular place in the starting XI, as he embarks on a new journey away from home.
Partizani, one of the biggest clubs in Albania, have won the Albanian league title for a staggering 17 times, with their last victory dating back to the 2022/23 season. Interestingly, the Albanian giants earned promotion back to the elite league in the 2012/13 term after a relegation a season before.
Furthermore, Human’s new employers have been crowned Albanian Cup winners 15 times, while they lifted the Albanian Super Cup three times. They were recently knocked out of the UEFA Conference league qualifying rounds earlier this month.
