Mbappé struck twice in three minutes early on (6' & 8') to hand his side an unassailable lead. Lassine Sinayoko pulled one back for Auxerre early in the second half (51').

"We are happy and proud this evening," said PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who knows one more point will secure the title. "We knew that it would be a difficult match, but we won it. We have taken a big step towards the title. It was a difficult match, we put everything into it defensively. We put in a very good performance and we are happy. There are two finals to play to earn at least a point, but we want to win every game, we want to win the two matches. We are ready to do so. We are ready to celebrate with our supporters."

Lens pull clear in second

Lens strengthened their grip on second place after a 3-1 win at Lorient.

Romain Faivre capitalised on a mistake in the Lens defence to put Lorient ahead (6'). But Les Sang et Or hit back through Florian Sotoca (20'), Adrien Thomasson (25') and Séko Fofana (87'), to claim maximum points.

"We have to continue until the end of the season to have a great reward," said Lens boss Franck Haise whose side are one win away from securing Champions League group stage qualification. "We have 78 points, it has never happened in the history of the club, so I will have no regrets. I don't know what the match against Ajaccio will be like, I don't doubt it will be a nice party, but we've been partying in Bollaert 26 times this season."
