Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says he and Joan Laporta are getting along.

Rosell was Laporta's No2 during the latter's previous time as president.

He told Radio Cataluyna: "As I am a manager, I have always thought that the managers are the ones who have to manage.

"Each one has his style. Joan and I have a super special relationship that only the two of us understand. And therefore, I will not say anything about Joan for or against.

"We met for lunch before the election at my house and then had coffee in my office. We talked about how the election would go, who was running and who wasn't. I wished him luck and told him I thought he would win as he did. Since then we don't speak, each one has his life."

Rosell also offered his take on Lionel Messi's departure for PSG last year.

"Messi has been the best player in history. Obviously Barça, but also in football history. But Barça is above Messi. I don't know if I would have kept him. It is very difficult to decide what to do when you are president of the Barça. At Barça every day there is a bomb, a more complete decision than the day before."
