Paris Saint-Germain kept their domestic unbeaten streak going with a 1-0 win over Angers SCO, a result that locked in their 13th Ligue 1 title. Ousmane Dembele didn’t find the net in that match, but he’s been on an incredible run, especially since the start of 2025.
According to Stats du Foot on X, Dembele is the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 to score 21 goals in the first three months of a calendar year while playing for a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
And it’s not just the numbers backing him—L’Equipe reports that Dembele is currently the frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or, earning 40.9 percent of the vote in a poll of voters.

In an interview with the daily newspaper L’Equipe, Ronaldinho didn’t hide his enthusiasm when discussing Dembele and his PSG performances this season.
The former Parisian legend highlighted the French winger’s unique talent, while offering a smile full of admiration. Moreover, he noted that Dembele’s impressive form dates back to his last season with Barcelona.
“Ousmane Dembele at PSG. I really like him,” Ronaldinho said (h/t Paris Team). He has a bit of a Brazilian style! He’s unpredictable, he creates, he takes players on. He’s often unreadable and, on top of that, he scores a lot of goals. He’s starting to come into his own, breaking out in a different role than he had at PSG last year or even at Barcelona before that.”
