Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has issued an injury update on his injured trio.

The Blaugrana have struggled with injuries this season, with Ousmane Dembélé yet to play this season and both Pedri and Ronald Araujo joining him in the treatment room in recent weeks.

Martin Braithwaite is another who is out injured, but he will remain out long-term having picked up a serious setback.

For the other three, things are less clear, with Dembélé seemingly close to a return, while Pedri and Araujo appear some way off.

And Koeman has given an update on the current injury situation, admitting he and his medical staff will tread carefully when it comes to Pedri, who recently suffered a setback in his recovery.

“We are all worried about the injuries,” Koeman said of Pedri. “We are trying to analyse the situation so that the player can improve. It could be that Pedri stays out for a little more time.

“You have to be worried in this regard. Because of this, we don’t put a date on Dembélé, Pedri or Araujo.

“We speak each day about it. We know exactly where they are.”

Barca are back in action as soon as Wednesday night when they will look to bounce back from a Clásico defeat to Real Madrid against Rayo Vallecano.

They will then face Alaves this weekend in what is a busy schedule, especially for an injury-hit side like the Blaugrana.
