Roma are at work to mend the relationship between Jose Mourinho and Rick Karsdorp following their dispute in the aftermath of Sassuolo-Roma.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the player – who had been excluded by the Special One from Roma’s last game before the break with Torino – was back in the capital over the weekend to undergo further medical assessments in light of his recently diagnosed psychological issues.

Following the medical visit, Karsdorp returned to Amsterdam.

Despite interest from several European clubs including Juventus, Marseille, Feyenoord and Lyon, the Dutchman hasn’t received any concrete offers so far. Roma are not intent on sending Karsdorp on loan and would only consider a permanent exit for the fullback.

Presently, the club are prioritizing repairing the rapport with Mourinho. Roma GM Tiago Pinto is expected to mediate the situation upon the team’s return from Japan.
