Roma have reportedly requested Milan and Switzerland forward Noah Okafor as part of a potential part-exchange deal with the Rossoneri for current Giallorossi striker Tammy Abraham, according to updates on Sunday afternoon.

Milan are working on deals for both Alvaro Morata and Abraham to cover the gap left by the recently-departed Olivier Giroud, but an agreement for the Spaniard is currently closer than an agreement for the Englishman.

According to recent updates, Roma must sell Abraham for a minimum fee of €17m to avoid making a capital loss. The player is now into the final 12 months of his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

Milan, meanwhile, would ideally like to sign Abraham either on loan, or as part of a player exchange deal.

Roma request Okafor from Milan

Though Alexis Saelemaekers and Luka Jovic had both previously been mentioned as players who Milan could make available for a transfer this summer, Roma have requested Okafor as part of a potential deal for Abraham, according to reports from Calciomercato.com.

The Swiss international only joined Milan last summer, but often found himself playing understudy to Rafael Leao on the left, or as a back-up option at centre-forward.

He is, however, not currently expected to claim a guaranteed position as a starter on either the left-wing or up front, especially if Milan do bring in reinforcements in the no.9 role.

Despite that, the Rossoneri are still reportedly keen to stick with Okafor, who is still considered to be a valued and valuable member of the first-team squad.
