Roma reflect on what to do with Houssem Aouar: player draws interest in France | OneFootball

The future of Houssem Aouar is still undecided after the player’s unconvincing first season at Roma.

The Algerian midfielder arrived in the Italian capital as a free agent last year.

However, over the course of the season Aouar collected only 16 appearances in Serie with 4 goals to his name.

Aoaur failed to impress both under Jose Mourinho and Daniele De Rossi.

Now, Roma are reportedly reflecting on how to proceed with Aouar.

According to Il Messaggero, the capital are pondering two options.

First, Aouar could be sold in the summer – any offer would do as Aouar’s sale would generate pure revenue for the club since he signed on a free deal.

The newspaper claims Aouar has drawn interest in France and could be open to a return to Ligue 1.

On the other hand, Roma could also consider giving him a second chance and hoping Aouar can find his footing during preseason with De Rossi’s help.
