Multiple reports have now emerged that state that Roma are interested in securing Claudio Echeverri’s services for next season. Perhaps a move to Serie A and playing for Roma could be the perfect move for Echeverri to get meaningful minutes and develop as a player.

A more detailed report from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato has also emerged. Longo reports that Roma and Manchester City are in advanced negotiations over a loan move for Echeverri. Furthermore, Longo reports that Claudio Echeverri is open to a move to Roma for next season. It is also reported by Longo that Pep Guardiola is yet to give his approval on the move. Lastly, Longo reports that personal terms between Echeverri and Roma will not present an issue.

Serie A could be the ideal setting for Echeverri to grow as a player.

If Claudio Echeverri does go out on loan next season he needs to be playing in a league that will aid his progress as a player. Serie A could provide such an environment. The Italian top flight is a quality league, although it isn’t as physically demanding as the Premier League. Given that Claudio Echeverri is only 19 years of age that could be the perfect league for his development. He could play at a high level and improve as a player. Playing in Serie A does make sense for Claudio Echeverri. A club like Roma could also be the ideal setting for Echeverri to grow as a player.
