🇮🇹 Roma confirm Houssem Aouar signing | OneFootball

Roma have confirmed the signing of Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar.

Aouar moves to the Stadio Olimpico as a free agent after his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit expired at the end of last season.

The Algeria international spent seven years with his boyhood club, where he scored 42 goals from 219 appearances in all competitions.

During that time he was also named in the Champions League’s team of the season for 2019/20.

“I’m very happy to have signed for Roma, because they’re a great club with a great history,” said Aouar.

“I think it’s the right project for me, with a big team, quality players and a unique fanbase.

“I’m now a Giallorossi player and I’m ready to go.”

Aouar becomes the first summer signing for José Mourinho’s side, who reached the Europa League final last term.
