Robin Koch: We go into every game wanting three points
Leeds United
Defender on Newcastle United test.
Robin Koch has spoken with the media, prior to Leeds United facing off against Newcastle United this weekend at Elland Road.
The Whites are looking to keep building upon their impressive start to 2022, after Premier League wins against Burnley and West Ham United.
The defender began by reflecting on the win over the Hammers.
He said: “It was fun for me, I have to say!
“I think it was hard to watch for my parents at home in Germany, they weren’t too relaxed, my mum said it was crazy with the scores going up and down.
“For me it was fun, so after a long time out with my injury I am happy to be playing again and of course to win the game was great.
“I think we’re in a good way now. Two wins in the last two games, but of course, we have to go again on Saturday and in our next games as well.
“We won’t stop playing now just because we won the last two. We’re looking forward to the next game on Saturday to try and get another three points.”
The Magpies have won just the one match this season, but with new recruits and renewed optimism, they will prove a tough test for Leeds and the German international knows the importance of this game.
"For me personally and the team as well, we go into every game wanting to get three points,” Koch explained.
“Of course, this game against Newcastle now is really important because they are not in the best position.
“Also, Newcastle know it is a really important game for them as well. It will not be easy but we will go for the three points!
“I have finally been able to play at Elland Road with fans after my injury and I will remember it for the rest of my life. It’s a special atmosphere, it’s fun to play, and I look forward to every game.”
