Liverpool entertained Crystal Palace at Anfield earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 14th minute when Eberechi Eze found the back of the net for the visitors. The Merseyside club went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Jurgen Klopp‘s men threw everything but the kitchen sink in the second half but crashed to a poor 1-0 defeat in front of their home supporters.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the match against the Eagles.

GK: Alisson Becker – 6.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few excellent saves to keep his team in the contest but there was no clean sheet for him today.

RB: Conor Bradley – 6/10

He did his fair share of defending but offered very little going forward.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10

Konate cleared the danger when he could but it was not enough in the end.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10

He was a strong presence in the air but looked shaky off the ball.

LB:  Andy Robertson – 7.5/10

He was a positive influence in both halves and managed to create a few decent chances for his teammates from the left flank.

CM: Curtis Jones – 6/10

Jones was quiet for most of the game and squandered a great chance to equalise late in the game.

CM: Wataru Endo – 6/10

He lacked quality on the ball and was replaced at half-time.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10

Mac Allister did his fair share of defending and made two decent chances up top.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 6.5/10

He created a few decent chances for others around him but lacked quality in front of the Palace goal.

ST: Darwin Nunez – 6/10

Nunez was a threat at times but wasted a great opportunity to equalise.

LW: Luis Diaz – 6/10

Diaz lacked the cutting edge on the offensive end of the field.

Substitutes:

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6/10

He looked like a player low on confidence.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6/10

His passing was rusty but looked bright on the ball.

LW: Cody Gakpo – 7.5/10

He tried to make things happen for Liverpool from the left wing.

ST: Diogo Jota – 6/10
