Roberto Rosales earned Espanyol a draw at Villarreal with one of the goals of the season on Sunday.

Javier Calleja probably thought his side had done enough to claim all three points on his return to Villarreal after Santi Cazorla put them 2-0 up from the penalty spot after 65 minutes.

But 10 minutes later, a Daniele Bonera own goal gave the visitors a lifeline and in the 80th minute came the pièce de résistance from Venezuelan international Rosales.

The result leaves the Yellow Submarine 19th in LaLiga, while Espanyol move up to 14th.
