Death. Taxes. Robert Lewandowski scoring goals.

The Bayern Munich centre-forward has scored within opening ten minutes to fire the European champions ahead in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Lazio.

That goal is now the Polish striker’s 72nd in the competition, which means he has now overtaken Real Madrid legend Raúl to move third in the outright top goalscorers list.

The 32-year-old took advantage of some sloppy defending from Lazio to round the keeper and slide the ball into the empty net.

You just can’t make mistakes when Lewandowski is around.
