After losing out to Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp in Fifa’s The Best awards, Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has been named the Globe Soccer Coach of 2020.

Flick wins the award having guided Bayern to the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League treble last season during what was the first head coaching role of his career.

“I’m happy to receive this award, but this wouldn’t have been possible without my staff,” Flick said when accepting the award via video link.

“I would like to dedicate the award to them. I’m happy to have not only the best players, but also the best team of coaches.”

Elsewhere at the ceremony in Dubai, Robert Lewandowski collected Bayern’s award for the 2020 Club of the Year.
