Road to 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup: Group A

MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup, which determines the Caribbean club champion and serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, will take place from August to December.
Here are how the five teams in Group A clinched their spots in the tournament:
Mount Pleasant FA
Mount Pleasant FA booked its spot as the Jamaican Premier League runner-up. The club played a tight final against Cavalier FC, which ended 1-1 before falling 4-3 on penalties.
This will be the club’s second appearance in the tournament following their debut in 2024, where it exited in the group stage.
SV Robinhood
SV Robinhood hopes to make another run in this tournament after being crowned champions of the inaugural edition. The club returns to the tournament after winning the 2024 SVB Eerste Divisie title.
Shaquille Cairo is Robinhood’s leading scorer in Caribbean Cup history with five goals. The side is the only club from Suriname to participate in the tournament.
Universidad O&M FC
Universidad O&M FC will make its tournament debut after qualifying as the 2024 Liga Dominicana de Fútbol runner-up.
The club becomes the fourth Dominican club to play in the Caribbean Cup and the 17th team overall to make its tournament debut.
Central FC
Central FC is set to make its debut in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup. Central FC secured its spot in this year’s tournament as the 2024 TT Premier Football League runner-up.
Moca FC
Moca FC will make its third consecutive appearance in the Caribbean Cup. The Dominican club had good success in the prior competitions, reaching the Third Place Match both years, winning it in 2023 against Harbour View of Jamaica.
The club secured its ticket to this year’s tournament as the 2025 CFU Club Shield Champion.
