French side Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed the arrival of Tanner Tessmann on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Ligue 1 side from Venezia on a contract until June 2029 for €6 million.

Tessmann makes the switch following an impressive spell for the United States at the Paris Olympic Games this summer.
The American joined Venezia from MLS side FC Dallas back in 2021 and his efforts in Italy last season helped the club reach Serie A for the 2024/25 season. Tessmann notably registered seven goals and three assists in 42 games last year.
He is the first male American to sign for the French giants and will look for more minutes with the first team. According to The Athletic, Lyon beat Fiorentina, Ipswich, Brighton and Feyenoord to his signature.
