Arsenal entertained Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first-leg match. The Gunners were dominant in the first half but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Declan Rice opened the goal-scoring for Mikel Arteta’s side in the 58th minute before going on to score again just 12 minutes later. Mikel Merino got his name on the scoresheet as well in the 75th minute. Eduardo Camavinga was sent off by the referee in injury-time as Arsenal cruised to an impressive 3-0 win at the Emirates.

GK: David Raya – 8/10

Raya made a few important saves at the back and earned a well-deserved clean sheet tonight.

RB: Jurrien Timber – 7.5/10

He did what was required of him defensively and made a couple of decent runs going forward.

CB: William Saliba – 7/10

The French talent put his foot through the ball when required and did enough to earn a clean sheet.

CB: Jacob Kiwior – 7/10

He performed his defensive duties well and was accurate with his passing.

LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 8/10

Lewis-Skelly was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Martin Odegaard – 6.5/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and won one aerial duel for his team.

CM: Thomas Partey – 7/10

Partey anchored the midfield well and was not shy of having a strike at goal.

CM: Declan Rice – 9/10

He scored a quick-fire brace in the second half and deserves to be named the man of the match.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 6.5/10

Saka made one decent chance from the right flank and was replaced in the 73rd minute.

ST: Mikel Merino – 8/10

He caused a lot of problems for the Real Madrid defenders and did well to score in the 75th minute.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 7/10

Martinelli caused some headaches for his marker but there was no goal for him.

RW: Leandro Trossard – 6/10

He made one good run with the ball.

LB: Kieran Tierney – 6/10
