RFC Seraing have announced that the loan of Maidine Douane has been terminated with immediate effect. In their statement, the reason given by the club is that an ‘incident’ took place after the game against Jong Genk. While the club then declined to expand further, Het Nieuwsblad have revealed that Douane got into a fight with head coach Mbaye Leye. Furthermore, the players father was also involved in the scuffle that saw a steward also get physically involved.

The incident seems to have been sparked by Douane’s removal by Leye during the game when RFC Seraing were 2-0 down. In the end the game finished 3-1 to Genk’s second team, another defeat for a Seraing side that are plummeting towards back to back relegations and a return to the third tier after just three years.
