Inter Milan outcast Tomas Palacios was one step away from joining Santos, but the transfer collapsed at the 11th hour.
According to Matteo Moretto via FCInter1908, the player’s decision not to return to South America ruined the deal.
Santos and Inter had already agreed terms for the 22-year-old’s move to Brazil, only for Palacios to turn it down.
Indeed, the Italian giants sanctioned the Argentine’s loan switch to Vila Belmiro with an option to buy.

It was a done deal, only for Tomas Palacios to call it off at the last moment.
Indeed, the former Independiente Rivadavia starlet has received an offer from an unnamed Serie A club.
Keen to stay in Europe, Palacios has taken time to evaluate the proposal, putting the transfer to Santos on hold.
Furthermore, the player’s agents have played their part in stalling talks, which now seem dead in the water.
