In addition to Daniel Maldini, Serie A champions Inter Milan have added another Monza star, Warren Bondo, to their list of targets.

According to Il Giorno, as reported by FCInterNews, Simone Inzaghi’s charges have identified Bondo as a tangible transfer target.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio attended Monza’s home clash against Roma last weekend to watch the 21-year-old midfielder first-hand.

While Maldini’s free-flowing attacking display attracted Ausilio’s attention, Bondo’s physicality has earned him high acclaim from the Inter chief.

Meanwhile, new Monza head coach Alessandro Nesta holds Bondo in high esteem.

Except for a late cameo appearance in a 2-1 loss to Bologna on Matchday 5, the Frenchman has started all six remaining Serie A games this term.

Therefore, the Biancorossi would unlikely consider offers for their first-team stalwart in January.

However, the narrative could change at the end of the season, especially if Nesta’s men fail to preserve their top-flight status.

Going into October’s international break, Monza found themselves firmly embroiled in the relegation scrap.

With no win from seven matches, they languish in the bottom three.

Indeed, a superior goal difference to promoted Venezia was the only reason they didn’t enter the break at rock bottom.

Bondo joined Monza from Nancy in 2022.

But he spent the second half of his first season in Italy on loan at Reggina.

It seemingly helped him adapt to the new surroundings as he hit the ground running at the U-Power Stadium last term.

His technical prowess and impressive physical attributes helped the Biancorossi to a commendable 12th-place finish in 2023/24.

Bondo could continue his career at Giuseppe Meazza, but he won’t come cheap.

Indeed, the youngster’s contract at Monza runs out in 2027, which puts the Lombard club in a strong bargaining position.
